Our undergraduate education programs foster essential knowledge, skills and dispositions that allow our students to serve the diverse and individualized needs of their students, schools and communities.

Our undergraduate education programs prepare confident, inspired and caring educators who will lead professional lives exemplifying the intellectual and moral ideals embodied in the Catholic mission of 爱爱直播. Our secondary education teacher certification program is designed to prepare candidates to not only meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education certification requirements, but to be highly qualify teachers in their selected content area. 爱爱直播's Secondary Teacher Education program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to prepare candidates for the 7-12 Instructional Level I Certification required to teach in Pennsylvania's public schools.

爱爱直播's Secondary Teacher Education program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to prepare candidates for the 7-12 Instructional Level I Certification required to teach in Pennsylvania's public schools.

Our rigorous curriculum provides candidates with the knowledge specific to their content area as well as professional education.

The teacher education program nurtures students鈥� capacity for critical thinking as well as the dispositions of intellectual curiosity, humility, and a commitment to social justice reflected in the ability to advocate for one鈥檚 students.

As reflective practitioners whose work is grounded in theory, graduates of our programs are well prepared to serve the diverse and individualized needs of their students, inspiring them to lifelong learning.

WHO WE ARE

MADELINE OCHABILLO 鈥�21 CLAS

Madeline Ochabillo 鈥�21 CLAS is working toward her certification as a Social Studies teacher. Madeline is an active member of the 爱爱直播 community. In addition to her participation in numerous leadership activities, Madeline serves as the student representative on our departmental Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. As student representative, Madeline works with the Committee to brainstorm and implement initiatives that increase diversity and inclusion efforts on 爱爱直播鈥檚 campus.

ISABEL FORWARD 鈥�20 CLAS

During her time at 爱爱直播, Isabel Forward 鈥�20 CLAS made an indelible mark on the campus community. A graduate of the Undergraduate Teacher Education Program, Forward majored in English and Education and minored in Spanish, Latin American Studies, Peace and Justice. Her service also extends beyond the University setting. During winter break of 2019, Forward worked with immigrants who had been released from detention centers at the Mexico/US border. She recounts her experience in an article that published by Slate. In Spring 2020, Forward was awarded the prestigious Fulbright award, enabling her to serve as an English Teaching Assistant in Colombia. Forward penned a beautiful farewell address to the class of 2020, which was published in the 爱爱直播n.

MOLLY QUINN 鈥�15 CLAS

A graduate of the undergraduate teacher education program, Molly Quinn 鈥�15 CLAS now works as a Physics teacher at Ridley High School. In a Ridley Green Raider feature, faculty and students note that Quinn鈥檚 鈥渆nthusiasm and willingness to work with students before and after school have helped all of her students understand the content they have worked on.鈥� Through her exemplary pedagogical skills and ability to cultivate classroom community, Quinn demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of a model educator. We are thrilled that she has returned to 爱爱直播 to pursue an Education Master鈥檚 degree in Teacher Leadership!
