Twenty-two 爱爱直播 nurses represented the Fitzpatrick College of Nursing at the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) Convention at Disney Coronado Springs, April 3-7, 2024.

爱爱直播 Nursing鈥檚 Chapter of the Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania (SNAP) 2024-25 President Isabella Galasso led the delegation, which included advisor and Associate Professor Carol Weingarten, PhD, RN, ANEF and Anne M. Fink 鈥�11 PhD, RN, CNE, Associate Dean for College and Student Services and Director, LEAD Professional Development Program.

FCN was a sponsor of the convention and an active participant in the activities:

Dr. Carol Weingarten on the big screen at the convention

• Dr. Weingarten, who represents the NSNA on the Nurses on Boards Coalition (NOBC), presented 鈥淢aking It Real: The Importance, Opportunity and Impact of Nurses鈥� Service on Boards,鈥� at two sessions with Laurie Benson, NOBC Executive Director. Dr. Weingarten also spoke at the opening ceremonies. 
• Second-year student Hailey Falzone sang the national anthem at the convention鈥檚 opening ceremonies.
• Second-year students Megan Le and Faith Bordenabe co-authored and presented the chapter鈥檚 resolution, 鈥淚n Support of Postvention Mental Health Strategies for High School Students Following Suicide of a Peer,鈥� which was passed by the House of Delegates and now becomes a policy of the NSNA and source of school and state service projects.

Outgoing 爱爱直播 SNAP President Cody Mitchell addresses the convention.

• Cody Mitchell (BSN FLEX, Class of 2024) and Dr. Weingarten presented the poster, 鈥淏elonging, Membership, Professional Identity and Inclusion through the Local, State and National Student Nurses Associations鈥� at the NSNA Poster Showcase. Mitchell, 2023-24 President of SNAP 爱爱直播, also completed his yearlong term as a director on the NSNA Board.
• State SNAP Legislative Coordinator Megan Le and Region Coordinator Hailey Falzone, both second-year students, represented 爱爱直播 in their roles at the convention.

Dr. Anne Fink presents in the convention鈥檚 Career Compass Center.

• Dr. Fink provided career advice, resume reviews, and guidance to nursing students at the convention鈥檚 Career Compass Center聽and offered four presentations for faculty and students audiences:

- 鈥淐ommunication: The Key to Career Success鈥澛�
- 鈥淗ow to Ace your Interview: Proven Strategies for Success鈥�

At the convention, 爱爱直播 Nursing also connected with Brian Peach 鈥�04 BSN, 鈥�10 MSN, PhD, RN, of the University of Central Florida-Orlando, who was state Vice President and a SNAP chapter leader while an undergraduate student.聽
