°®°®Ö±²„ and American University of Beirut strengthen nursing relationship
°®°®Ö±²„, PA, March 24, 2010 ā °®°®Ö±²„ and its College of Nursing have signed a collaborative agreement with the School of Nursing, American University of Beirut (AUB) in Lebanon. The agreement was signed in March by Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, president of °®°®Ö±²„ and Dr. M. Louise Fitzpatrick, Connelly Endowed Dean and Professor of the College, along with AUB President Dr. Peter Dorman and Nursing Dean Dr. Huda Abu Saad Hijer.
The agreement formalizes the relationship between the two partner schools to collaborate on mutually beneficial projects in Nursing education that involve faculty and students. Both schools are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The College has collaborated with AUBās Nursing schoolāthe first in the Middle Eastā in the past developing education conferences for nurses. Dr. Fitzpatrick served on AUBās Centennial International Advisory Board and gave the keynote address at their Centennial Conference in July 2005, which was co-sponsored by the College of Nursing.
