Linda Carman Copel, Ph.D., R.N., PMHCNS, BC, CNE, NCC, FAPA, professor, presented a paper, āIntimate Partner Violence Experienced by Women with Disabilities,ā at the Family Therapy Networker Conference in Washington, D.C., in March 2012.
Elizabeth Burgess Dowdell, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, professor, was a finalist in May 2012 to give °®°®Ö±²„ undergraduates their āLast Lecture,ā based on votes by the senior class. Dr. Dowdell in April 2012 presented three papers in Atlanta at the U.S. Department of Justice OJJDPās National Law Enforcement Training on Child Exploitation: āAdolescents and the Internet: Sexting, Cyberbullying, Online Strangers and Offline Victimizationā; āSelf-production of Child Pornography by Minors on MyYearbook.com: The Pennsylvania ICAC Responseā; and āSocial Networking Patterns of Adolescents, Young Adults, and Offenders.ā
Tamara M. Kear ā09 Ph.D., R.N., CNN, assistant professor, co-presented a poster with student A. Behette, āHypertension in Haitian Migrant Communities in the Dominican Republic: An Investigation of Three Rural Bay Communities,ā at the College of Nursingās Research Symposium in March 2012. She presented a webinar, āRenal Failure: An Update for Healthcare Professionals,ā at the ADVANCE for Nurses Publication, Virtual Job Fair in January 2012.
Michelle M. Kelly ā94 B.S.N., ā12 Ph.D., CRNP, clinical assistant professor, and Naomi Wallis ā11 B.S.N., R.N. presented āLife after Prematurity: Health-related Quality of Life and Special Health Care Needs of Children Born Prematurelyā at the College of Nursing Annual Research Symposium.
Margaret āPeggyā G. Lyons ā87 B.S.N., D.N.P., CRNI, program coordinator of Continuing Education in Nursing and Health Care, in May 2012 presented āNavigating Your Way Through Open Access, Copyright, Fair Use and the TEACH Actā at the 20th Annual Conference for Nurse Educators, sponsored by Saint Anselmās College and held in Hyannis, Mass. In June 2012 she received a research award from the Gardner Foundation of the Infusion Nurses Society.
Bette A. Mariani ā82 B.S.N., Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor, co-presented with Colleen M. Meakim ā84 M.S.N., R.N., director of the Learning Resource Center, a preconference lecture on āUsing Structured Debriefing to Enhance Clinical Judgment Abilities in the Simulation Experienceā at the 11th Annual International Nursing Simulation/Learning Resource Centers Conference. They offered a workshop, āDebriefing for Meaningful Learning,ā at the ATI Nurse Educator Summit in April 2012 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Ruth A. McDermott-Levy ā96 M.S.N., ā08 Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor, presented a poster, āHealth Needs Assessment in Philadelphiaās Arab American Community,ā at the College of Nursingās Annual Research Symposium in March 2012.
Amy E. McKeever ā08 Ph.D., R.N., CRNP, assistant professor, presented two posters at the Association of Womenās Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses National Convention in June 2012 in Washington, D.C.:

Patricia A. Mynaugh, Ph.D., R.N., associate professor, in January 2012, received °®°®Ö±²„ās Recognition for Student Mentoring.
Kelly Ann P. Nestor ā96 B.S.N., ā08 M.S.N., ANP-BC, clinical professor, was elected to a three-year term on the board of Saunders House, a rehab/long-term care facility in Wynnewood, Pa., and Bryn Mawr (Pa.) Terrace, a senior care community.
Bing-Bing Qi ā94 M.S.N., Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor, and student Victoria Daubert presented a poster, āOsteoporosis Knowledge, Health Beliefs and Preventive Behaviors among Freshmen Nursing Students,ā at the College of Nursingās Annual Research Symposium in March 2012.
Kathryn M. Reynolds ā79 B.S.N., M.S.N., PNP, clinical assistant professor, co-presented two sessions with Isabella āBelleā Erickson, Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor: āClinical Evaluation of Nursing Studentsā and āClinical Conferencingā at the Clinical Conferencing and Evaluation for Clinical Faculty, °®°®Ö±²„.
Carol Toussie Weingarten, Ph.D., R.N., ANEF, associate professor, returned again to Germany in the summer of 2012, working with U.S. wounded warriors at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and providing continuing education as well as faculty development for its Department of Nursing. In Pittsburgh, she presented āWorking with Ill and Wounded Troops Transported to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany: Through the Eyes of a Civilian Volunteer Who Is A Nurse,ā at the 60th National Convention of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) in April 2012.
